A migrant boat of Libya carrying individuals from various cities in Pakistan, enroute to Arab countries, met with a devastating accident.
Immigration sources report that there were 63 Pakistanis and 10 Bangladeshis on board the boat. So far, 16 bodies have been recovered, all of whom are Pakistani.
During rescue operations, 37 people were found alive, with 1 hospitalized and 33 in police custody.
According to reports, around 10 Pakistanis are still missing in this incident. The identities and travel details of the Pakistani victims of the Libya boat accident have been revealed.
Among these Pakistani passengers, one had departed from the Taftan border, while the remaining six passengers had left from Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Islamabad, and Faisalabad airports on different dates.
Passenger Shoaib Hussain had traveled to Iran from the Taftan border on January 10, 2025, while passenger Saqleen Haider had arrived in Saudi Arabia from Karachi Airport on February 9, 2024.
Similarly, Abid Hussain had traveled to Egypt from Quetta on November 25, 2024, Sirajuddin had arrived in Saudi Arabia from Peshawar on December 31, 2022, and Syed Shehzad Hussain had reached Saudi Arabia from Islamabad.

Passenger Shoaib Ali had traveled to Saudi Arabia from Faisalabad on November 19, 2024, and Musarat Hussain had traveled to the United Arab Emirates from Quetta on September 20, 2024.
Additionally, among the other Pakistani victims are Nusrat Hussain, Shoaib Ali, Abid Hussain, Asif Ali, Masawir Hussain, Asghar Hussain, Anis Khan, Musaib Hussain, and Shahid Hussain.
Information is being gathered on how all these Pakistani passengers reached the ill-fated boat and from where they began their journey.
